Thoughts

If you cannot control your thoughts, your thoughts will control you. Negative thoughts are toxic to ourselves... to our achievements, our relationships, our goals, our careers. If you can take your negative thoughts and turn them into positive thoughts you can change your circumstances and help others do the same. Fuel your brain with positivity, begin to notice the beauty in life, as well as the opportunities that are presented. Meditate, workout, read a book! Don't complain, instead be grateful! Stay far away from negative people, gossip, and other trash. Mold your mind.

Before you...

Before you speak, listen.
Before you write, think.
Before you spend, earn.
Before you invest, investigate.
Before you criticize, wait.
Before you pray, forgive.
Before you quit, try.
Before you retire, save.
Before you die, give.

By William Arthur Ward

3 greatest treasures

“Simplicity, patience, compassion.
These three are your greatest treasures.
Simple in actions and thoughts, you return to the source of being.
Patient with both friends and enemies,
you accord with the way things are.
Compassionate toward yourself,
you reconcile all beings in the world.”

Difficult People

Difficult people do exist at work. Difficult people come in every variety and no workplace is without them. How difficult a person is for you to deal with depends on your self-esteem, your self-confidence and your professional courage. Dealing with difficult people is easier when the person is just generally obnoxious or when the behavior affects more than one person. Dealing with difficult people is much tougher when they are attacking you or undermining your professional contribution.

Introduction of Five Offerings (五供簡介)

http://javewu.multiply.com/journal/item/131/131

Five Offerings will be presented.

And so, when are the Five Offerings started to be used in Taoism?

A lot of people might be wondering, are these Five Offerings a "duplicate product" from the other Religions?

To be honest and true, our Taoist Five Offerings can consider as the oldest set of Offerings invented for the Offerings for Deities far before any other Religions being imported into China.

So, what are consists in the Five Offerings?

Here they are:

Incense, Flowers, Lamp/Candles, Water & Fruit.

So any meaning behind these Five Offerings?

Of cos there're meaning behind, here's the brief intro on the meanings:

Incense represents Non-action or Action beyond Actions, in brief, All things are created or formed from Nothing or so-called Null. (香代表無為)

Flower represents Nature. Dao is a form of Nature and Nature is Dao. By offering Flowers to the Deities, one self will learn to appreciate how the Nature can change one self and affect the others. (花代表自然)

Lamp/Candle represents Accommodating & Respecting. By learning to accommodate things, one self will see the Light of Truth and by giving the necessary respecting to the others, one self will gain the respects and likes from the others. (燭代表順化)

Water represents Pureness, Calm & Peacefulness. Stillness of the Water is a form of silent cultivation. By reminding one self to stay calmness like Water, one self will always be blessed with the essence of Water Peace & Pure. (水代表清靜)

Fruit represents Fullest or Successful. By withholding the Upright Teachings and promote the Correct Culture, one self will be able to see the "Fruits" of his/her efforts and hardship. By offering Fruits, one self will be able to bless with Successful and Fullest in everything he/she does or request. (果代表圓滿)

So when can we do the Five Offerings?

On the First & Fifteen Day of the Lunar Month or on any Big Festivals & Anniversary Celebrations.

Can we add more Offerings besides these Five Offerings?

Of cos you can. You can add any other Fruits Offerings or Traditional Cookies Offerings, as long as one self is comfortable with.

So what is the correct placement position?

Here's the arrangement for the Five Offerings:

Introduction on The Ba Gua (Trigram) & Five Elements (五行八卦簡介)

http://javewu.multiply.com/journal/item/140/140

Elements that are associated with the World.

Ba Gua consists of Eight Signs or Symbols that represent the Physical Items that one self can see, feel and find in this Mortal World.

Here the Eight Signs or Symbols:

Qian – to represent Heaven(天)

Kun – to represent Earth(地)

Kan – to represent Water(水)

Li – to represent Fire(火)

Zhen – to represent Thunder(雷)

Xun – to represent Wind or Air(風)

Gen – to represent Mountain(山)

Dui – to represent Valley(澤)

The above Eight Signs or Symbols was being recorded by Fu Xi aka Master Ba Gua (八卦祖師伏羲).

Which later, Zhou Wen Wang Ji Chang (周文王姬昌) expanded and promoted the Eight Signs or Symbols into 64 Signs or Symbols for Prediction purposes known as Yi (易) aka Zhou Yi (周易).

And so, what is Wu Xing?

Wu Xing is the Five Nature Elements that form the Planet Earth. And also, the Elements that keep the Planet Earth move-on & function properly.

Heres the main Wu Xing:

Jin () to represent Gold or Metal

Mu () to represent Wood

Shui () to represent Water

Huo () to represent Fire

Tu () to represent Earth or Soil

For Wu Xing, each Element is being attached with a Direction (方向), a Physical Internal Organ of Human Body (五臟) and a Color (行色).

Heres the intro on the attachments:

Jin ()

West, White Color, control the function of Lungs (肺)

Mu ()

East, Green Color, control the function of Liver (肝)

Shui ()

North, Black or Dark Blue Color, control the function of Kidneys (腎)

Huo ()

South, Red Color, control the function of Heart (心)

Tu ()

Central, Yellow or Brown Color, control the function of Spleen (脾)

Besides that, each Element will also have the connection with the Four Seasons (四季):

Jin () Autumn ()

Mu () Spring ()

Shui () Winter ()

Huo () Summer ()

Tu () Four Seasons (四季)

In Taoism, we believed that a physical body of a Mortal is made up by the Five Elements and with the existence of the Five Elements, our internal organs are able to function with a balance and our Five Senses are able to work properly.

So what are the connections of the Five Elements with the Five Senses (五感觸)?

Here they are:

Jin () Nose () - sniffing

Mu () Eyes () seeing or sighting

Shui () Ears () - hearing

Huo () Tongue () - tasting

Tu () Lips () – feeling

Once the Internal Organs and the External Senses exist, the Spiritual Will or so-called Minds will need to be present. And so, by knowing where a Mortal’s Spiritual Will or Mind gets the Energies from the Five Elements, we will know how to apply the necessary Cultivation Skills to the different kinds of Spiritual Will or Minds (精氣神):

Jin () Spirit ()

Mu () Soul ()

Shui () Energy ()

Huo () Thoughts ()

Tu () Conscience ()

By knowing the Spiritual Will and Minds, a Cultivate Person will be able to apply certain Skills to maintain the balancing in ones emotions to achieve a higher level of Cultivation, here is the intro on the Emotions (情緒) that cling to each Element:

Jin () Sorrow ()

Mu () Anger ()

Shui () Fear ()

Huo () Joy ()

Tu () Worry ()

Summary: In Taoist Cultivation, in-order to attain Enlightenment or to achieve a higher level of Cultivation, the Cultivating Person will need to know the in-depth meaning of each Sign in the Trigram and by understand it and with the collating of Trigram with All the different attachments associated with the Five Elements, one self will be able to maintain the necessary Balance in the Physical Body, Mind & Souls.

Once a Cultivating Person is able to main the necessary Balancing and with the other external assistances, one self will be able to attain the so-called Immortal-Hood (跳出五行 - 不與五行八卦控制之中).

And this is the Ultimate Aim of Taoism.

Spiritual Skills Sharing: Self Protection from Possession of Negative Entities 2 (卡陰防範術)

http://javewu.multiply.com/journal/item/179/179

After sharing the 1st set of Spiritual Skills, people had been looking forward for the other Skills that one self can practice or used in-order to prevent from meeting up or get possessed by un-necessary Entities or Spirits.

In here, I will introduce the final set of a few Skills.

Again, they are simple and every one can just try it at anytime, anywhere, etc, to increase the "Spiritual Immune System".

1 – By Enhancing the "Third Eye Chakra" aka E Lun (額輪), which is situated in the Center of our fore-head and about 1cm above the 2 eyebrows.

Some will say the "Third Eye Chakra" is in between the 2 eyebrows.

For Spiritual Sensitive people, after practicing this Skill correctly and with the help of Spiritual Masters or Taoist Priests, one self will be able to Open up the so-called "Heavenly Eye".

How to enhance?

Using of a piece of Natural Stone or Gem, rub the Spot for about 1-3 minutes.

Again, Left for enhancing and Right for cleansing.

Try to do it in the Early morning after waking up, this is the best time for one self to Open up the necessary Points to receive the Positive Energies emitted from the Morning Sun.

2 – Protecting one"s Middle Finger.

A lot of people might thought that, our Middle Finger is being used only for "Scolding" the others, but actually, our Middle Finger is a Finger that show one’s luck and predict one’s Life.

When one self is walking in a Dark Lane or Dark Area, cover the Middle Finger under the other 4 Fingers, do not expose the Middle Finger to anyone in the Night as in Spiritual Theory, we believed that some stubborn Entities will enter one’s Physical Body thru the Middle Finger if the Middle Finger is being cut or bleed.

For Guy, hide the Middle Finger on the Left Hand and for Gal, the Middle Finger on the Right Hand.

Besides representing of our Luck & Life, Middle Finger is also a Finger that connected to our Heart. If one’s Middle Finger is being affected, there Heart issue will appeared.

3 – Always let one"s Heels touching the Ground while walking.

In Spiritual Theory, Heels are also one of the points that Spirits might attacked and forced themselves to enter one's Physical Body while the Mortal is weak or low in Spiritual Level.

So while one self is walking in a Dark Lane or Dark Area, try to be aware of the Heels, do not jump or walk tip-top, this will bring harm to one self and also, the people that are around you.

Spiritual Skills Sharing: Self Protection from Possession of Negative Entities (卡陰防範術)

http://javewu.multiply.com/journal/item/178/178

A lot of people had been approaching me to teach them a few skills to protect themselves from being attacked or possessed by Negative Entities or so-called Wandering Souls.

Here are some possible methods that as a Spiritual Master, we will impart to Public and also our own Students to provide necessary assistance at necessary period.

Skills that shared here are quite Safe & Easy to learn and use, anyone can just practice them at any time.

1 - Wearing Natural Stones or Gems that can hang directly infront of the Xian Tian Ba Gua (先天八卦) Point aka Chest (胸前)

2 - Wearing Natural Stones or Gems to protect the Xian Tian Ren Liang Point (先天人樑 directly opposite the Xian Tian Ba Gua Point, at the Back of a Physical Body)

3 - Before one self enter a Dark pathway or any Dark Areas, rub your 2 palms till it's Hot and then place them on the Back of the Neck, after placing, rub against the the Back of the Neck to keep it Warm and then start your journey thru the Dark pathway or Dark Areas.

In Spiritual Study, we believed that Negative Entities or Wandering Souls will enter one's Physical Body thru one of the Acu-point at the Back of the Neck (天柱穴).

4 - Same as Point 3, but this time round, after rubbing the 2 Palms, place the Palms on the Chest to make sure that the Xian Tian Ba Gua Point is being kept Warm.

In Spiritual Study, this is the Point that our Positive Energy is being emitted out, if one self is able to keep it Warm or Hot, the Positive Energy that being emitted out will be multiplied.

5 - Writing of the Chinese Character "Gang" on one's Palm to do protection.

How to do that?

First, recite the following Phrase softly:

Zi Chou Yin Mao Chen Si Wu Wei Shen You Xu Hai

(子丑寅卯辰巳午未申酉戌亥)

then

Wang (旺)

Secondly, write the Chinese Character Gang (罡) on the Center of the Palm with the Sword Formation

Thirdly, close the Palm tight and do not release until certain Entities approached

Fourth, if nothing happened, after awhile, released the Palm and shake hard to release the Enhanced Energy from the Palm

The Cleansing Water for Home-usage (道教清淨水)

http://javewu.multiply.com/journal/item/173/173

In Taoism, we have quite a number of methods to create the Cleansing Water for certain usage.

Today, I will like to introduce one of such methods to you all, for those who need it or interested in trying, one self just needed to follow the procedure that being written here, most probably one self will succeed in the creation.

Here it goes:

Prepare a Glass or Cup of Yin Yang Water 陰陽水 (mixture of Cold & Hot Water or Water collected at Mid-night and Early Morning after Sunrise), hold the Glass or Cup with your left hand, using the Dao-finger Formation 道指/法指 – the Formation that you can see on Zhang Gong Sheng Jun's statue (張公聖君), place your hand in front of the Heart.

Then, Light 3 Stick of Incenses, hold the Incenses with Right-hand and the burning tip Pointing Up and turn the whole body to face North.

After turning to the Direction, make a Bow and then recite the Offering Incense Mantra aka Zhu Xiang Shen Zhou (祝香神咒) and then, call-upon Xuan Tian Shang Di (玄天上帝) to provide the blessing on the Creation of the Cleansing Water.

After making the request, recite The Taoist Golden Brightness Mantra aka Jin Guang Shen Zhou (金光神咒) to gather the Positive Energies from the Three Realms to gather at the Spot.

Upon finish reciting Jin Guang Shen Zhou, point the Tip of the Incenses to the Cup or Water-surface, do not allow the burning tip to touch the edge of the Cup or the surface of the Water.

Once ready, recite The Cleansing of Surrounding Mantra aka Jing Tian Di Shen Zhou (淨天地神咒) to allow the Energies to being enhanced into the Yin Yang Water.

After the Mantra is being recited, point the Incenses Up again, make a Bow to the North and then, place them into any Urn.

Place the Cup of Water at the Altar.

And the Water is ready to be used on any issues or events.

So when to use the Water?

1 Before moving into a new House.

2 Before removing of any Spiritual Objects, such as Statues, etc.

3 Cleansing of an Area before Joss-papers are being burnt for Deities.

4 Cleaning of the Deities Altar.

5 Washing of the physical Body of someone who got possessed by Negative Entities

Things to Take Note:

Never drink such Cleansing Water, cos it will cause one self to force-out All Negative Forces and Energies, which can cause Extreme discomfort and seriously ill.
